About this release

The Technical Suite is the version of the CorelDRAW line aimed at illustration that has to be correct rather than merely attractive. It is the tool for parts catalogues, assembly instructions, maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams and the exploded views that go with them. Everything in it assumes the drawing will be measured, referenced and reused, so dimensioning, callouts, projection views and object precision are first class rather than afterthoughts.

Bringing engineering geometry in is where it earns its place. Drawings and models from the common drafting and modelling formats import with their layer structure and their proportions intact, and from there the illustration work happens with drawing tools rather than with a constraint solver. That split is deliberate: engineers produce the geometry, illustrators produce the document, and this suite is the bridge between the two without either side having to learn the other application.

Projection drawing tools handle the isometric and axonometric views that technical work depends on. A drawing plane is set once and everything drawn afterwards follows it, including text and callouts, so exploded assemblies stay consistent across a whole manual rather than drifting page by page. Standards based dimensioning and hatching keep the output acceptable to the people who review it.

Publishing is built into the suite rather than left to a separate step. Multi page documents, cross references, callout numbering that renumbers itself when parts move, and export to the formats a documentation department actually uses, including print ready press files and structured output for online manuals. Photo Paint and the font manager come along in the same install for the pixel work and the type handling a manual needs.

Install order

1. Unpack the archive to a short path with no accents.
2. Run the installer and select which suite components to place on disk.
3. Launch once so the font database and symbol libraries build.
