About this release
Office 2019 Professional Plus is the version a lot of machines settled on and never left. It installs once, runs from the local disk and does not ask anything of the network afterwards. For an office that wants Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher on a fixed build with no moving parts, this is still the sensible target.
The application set is the complete Professional Plus line rather than the home selection. That means Access and Publisher are present alongside the four everyone expects, Outlook includes the full account and rules handling, and Excel ships with the analysis add ins that the consumer editions leave out.
The image covers both 32 bit and 64 bit installs from the same source. The 64 bit build is the right choice for anyone working with large spreadsheets, since the memory ceiling on the 32 bit build becomes a real constraint past a few hundred thousand rows. The installer lets you pick, and it lets you deselect applications you do not want on disk.
File compatibility is complete in both directions. Documents from older releases open without conversion prompts, and files saved here open in newer builds. For an office running a mix of versions, that matters more than any individual feature.
