About this release
This is the general drafting application with the mechanical engineering toolset layered on top, and the layer is substantial enough that anyone doing machine design should not be working without it. The base drawing environment is unchanged, so every command, every shortcut and every workflow a drafter already has carries over. What is added is the several hundred thousand standard parts, the standards compliant detailing, and the calculation tools that otherwise live in a spreadsheet beside the screen.
The standard parts content is the single largest time saver. Fasteners, bearings, seals, shafts, pins, keys, rivets and structural sections are all present as parametric library items keyed to the international and regional standards, so a bolt is placed by specifying a size rather than by drawing it. Change the size later and the drawing updates, including the hole, the clearance and the associated notes.
Detailing follows the standards rather than requiring the drafter to remember them. Dimensioning, surface texture symbols, welding symbols, datums, tolerances and fits are generated to the selected standard, and switching a drawing from one standard to another is a document setting rather than a manual rework. Bills of material generate from what is actually in the drawing and stay linked to it, with balloon numbering that follows.
The calculation tools cover the routine engineering that sits alongside drafting: shaft deflection and stress, bearing life, spring design, moments of inertia and screw connection strength. Results write back into the drawing as annotation, so the reasoning behind a dimension stays attached to the document instead of living in someone's file share.

Install order
- Unpack the archive to a folder with no spaces in the path.
- Close any other application from the same vendor before starting.
- Run the installer and allow the content libraries to finish deploying.
- Launch once and set the drawing standard and units for the shop.
Worth knowing before you start
Content library deployment adds noticeably to install time, so let it finish.
The drawing standard should be set before the first real drawing, not after.
