About this release
Dimension exists for a specific and very common job: a designer has a label, a package artwork or a logo and needs a photographic looking render of it on an actual object, without learning a full three dimensional application to get there. Drop in a model, wrap the artwork onto it, choose a background, position a light, and render. The whole interface is arranged around that sequence and deliberately hides everything that is not part of it.
Material handling is where the quality comes from. Surfaces carry proper physical properties, so metal, glass, plastic, coated card, brushed aluminium and fabric all respond to light the way they should rather than being a colour with a shine slider. Artwork applies as a decal that follows the geometry, wrapping around a bottle or a carton correctly, and stays editable so a revised label is a swap rather than a rebuild.
Lighting and environment are handled through captured real world scenes. Choosing a background photograph sets the lighting to match it, so the object sits in the scene with consistent direction, colour and reflection rather than looking pasted on. The ground shadow and horizon match automatically, and individual lights can still be added for a specific highlight where the scene alone is not enough.
Output is built for the rest of a design workflow. Renders come out as flat images or as layered files with the object, shadow, reflection and background on separate layers so the retouching happens afterwards in an image editor. Models import from the common exchange formats, the starter content library covers packaging and product shapes, and the render engine uses the graphics card where one is available.

Install order
- Unpack the archive to a short path.
- Close other applications from the same vendor before installing.
- Run the installer and let the starter content library deploy.
- Launch once and set the render output folder before starting real work.
Worth knowing before you start
Accelerated rendering needs a current graphics driver to be offered as an option.
Layered output is the more useful choice when the render will be retouched afterwards.
