Wondershare Dr.Fone Toolkit

Version 10.7.2.324Wondershare428 MBFull toolkitRefreshed 1 week ago

A desktop toolkit for phone data: recovery, transfer, backup, repair and screen unlocking in one place.

About this release

Dr.Fone bundles the handful of phone problems that send people looking for desktop software into one application with a tile for each. Recovering deleted messages and photos, moving everything from an old handset to a new one, backing up selectively, repairing a device stuck in a boot loop, unlocking a forgotten screen lock and erasing a phone properly before it is sold.

Recovery is the module most people arrive for. It scans the device storage and any backups it can find for deleted messages, contacts, call history, photos, videos, notes and application data, previews what it found so you can see whether the item is intact before committing, and restores selected items rather than forcing a full rollback that would overwrite everything newer.

Transfer and backup cover the routine work. A direct device to device move carries contacts, messages, photos, music, video and calendar between handsets including across the two major platforms, and the backup module writes a readable archive to the computer that can be browsed and restored piece by piece instead of only as a whole image.

The repair and unlock modules deal with the awkward cases: a handset stuck on a logo, a boot loop after a failed update, a screen lock nobody remembers, or a device that needs its data genuinely destroyed rather than deleted. Each runs as a guided sequence that says clearly what it is going to do to the device before it starts.

What it does

Data recovery
Scans device storage and backups for deleted messages, contacts, photos and application data, with preview before restore.
Selective restore
Bring back individual items rather than rolling the whole device back to an older state.
Device to device transfer
Moves contacts, messages, media and calendar between handsets, including across the two major platforms.
Browsable backup
Writes an archive to the computer that can be opened and restored piece by piece.
System repair
Guided recovery for handsets stuck on a logo or in a boot loop after a failed update.
Screen unlock and secure erase
Clear a forgotten lock, or destroy data properly before a device changes hands.

Changed in this version

  • Support added for recent handset models and system versions.
  • Recovery scan is noticeably faster on devices with large photo libraries.
  • Transfer module handles very large media collections more reliably.
  • Repair sequence reworked with clearer warnings about what will be lost.
  • Improved device detection over the newer connection standards.

System requirements

Processor64 bit Intel or AMD, 1 GHz or faster
Memory4 GB minimum
Disk2 GB for the install plus room for backups and recovered data
SystemWindows 8.1 or newer
ConnectionA data capable cable, not a charge only one

Install order

  1. Unpack the archive.
  2. Run the installer and allow the device driver components to install.
  3. Connect the handset with a data capable cable and confirm the trust prompt on the device.
  4. Take a full backup before running any repair, unlock or erase operation.

Worth knowing before you start

A charge only cable will connect but never let the device be detected, which accounts for most failures.

Repair and unlock operations can remove data, so back up first without exception.
