KMSAuto++

Version 1.9.9Ratiborus9.7 MBPortableRefreshed 5 days ago

A portable single window utility for inspecting and managing the configuration state of Windows and the Office suites.

About this release

KMSAuto++ is a small portable utility that reads what a machine currently has installed and lets a technician manage the configuration state of the desktop system and of the Office suites from one window. It does not install itself, does not add a service and does not survive a reboot unless you leave the folder where you put it, which is why most people who use it keep it on the same stick as the rest of their service tools.

The main window is a single pane with a short list of actions down one side and a log down the other. Every action writes what it did into that log, so a run can be read back afterwards instead of guessed at. There is a profile section that shows the detected system edition, the detected suite version and the current configuration state, which is often all anyone actually opens the tool for.

The utility set behind that window covers the pieces a technician touches most often on a service call: system edition handling, suite configuration, service and scheduled task inspection, and a cleanup path that reverses everything the tool set up if a machine needs to go back to how it was. Each of those has its own confirmation step rather than firing on a single click.

It runs across a long span of desktop system generations, from the current release back to builds that are still sitting in workshops and small offices, and behaves the same on all of them. The interface is plain, the window is small, and there is nothing in it that needs a manual, which is the point of a tool that lives on a stick.

What it does

Single window
Detection, actions and log sit in one small pane with nothing hidden behind menus.
Fully portable
Runs from a folder or a stick with no install step and nothing registered on the machine.
Readable log
Every action writes what it did, so a run can be reviewed rather than assumed.
State detection
Reads the installed system edition, suite version and current configuration on launch.
Reversal path
A cleanup action undoes everything the tool put in place and removes its own scheduled entries.
Wide system coverage
Behaves the same across current and older desktop system generations.

Changed in this version

  • Detection updated for the current desktop system feature release.
  • Log pane gains copy to clipboard and a plain text export.
  • Cleanup action now removes its scheduled entries more reliably.
  • Interface scaling corrected on high density displays.
  • Smaller binary with faster launch on slow storage.
