Digital and Online Configuration Suite

Version 10.0Community build36.9 MBPortable suiteRefreshed 1 week ago

A combined set of configuration and edition management helpers for the desktop system and the office suites, in one portable menu.

About this release

This is a set of small configuration helpers gathered behind a single portable menu. Each one handles a different approach to the same category of work, managing the edition and configuration state of the desktop system and of the office suites, and the menu simply lets a technician pick whichever method suits the machine in front of them instead of carrying four separate tools.

The methods differ in how they work and in how long the resulting configuration lasts, and the menu says which is which before anything runs. One set works entirely offline against the local system. Another checks in over the network. A third writes a durable local configuration that survives updates and reinstalls of the suite. There is no guesswork involved, because each option is described in the menu and reports what it did afterwards.

Everything is portable. Nothing installs, nothing registers a service, and the whole set runs from the folder it was unpacked into, which is why it usually lives on a technician's stick beside the imaging and recovery tools. A status pane reads the current state of the machine before any action is taken, and for many service calls that read is the only thing anyone needs.

Each helper keeps its own log window so a run can be reviewed rather than assumed, and there is a reversal path that returns the machine to how it was before the tool touched it. The set is rebuilt as the individual helpers are updated, so a working copy on a stick is worth refreshing from time to time.

One menu, several methods
Pick the approach that suits the machine instead of carrying separate tools.
Offline and network methods
Both local only and network based options, each clearly labelled.
Durable local configuration

Status reading first
The current state of the system and suite is reported before any action.
Fully portable
Runs from a folder or a stick with nothing installed and nothing left behind.
Reversal path
Returns the machine to its previous state and removes anything the tool added.
