About this release
Not every video needs a professional post suite, and this is the editor for the ones that do not. Drag clips onto a timeline, trim them, drop a transition between them, add a title, put music underneath and export. Someone who has never edited anything can produce a watchable family video, holiday cut or short presentation in an evening, and the interface never demands more understanding than the task requires.
Underneath the simplicity there is more capability than the first impression suggests. Multiple video and audio tracks, keyframed movement and opacity, chroma key for green screen work, picture in picture, speed ramping, stabilisation, colour adjustment and a reasonable set of filters and overlays are all present. Enough for a small business promotional video or a channel that publishes weekly.
The bundled content matters for this audience. Transitions, titles, stickers, backgrounds and a royalty free music and sound effects library are included, so a video can be finished without going looking for assets. Titles are edited directly on the preview with fonts, colours and animation timing adjustable in place.
Export is preset driven rather than a codec dialogue. Choose a destination and a quality level and the settings follow. For people who want control, the manual export panel exposes codec, bitrate, frame rate and resolution, and hardware acceleration cuts the render time substantially on a machine with a capable graphics card.
