About this release

Movavi Screen Recorder is aimed at people who need a recording finished and sent within the hour: training clips, support walkthroughs, meeting captures and bug reproductions. Pick a region or a window, choose whether the webcam and the microphone come along, and record. The capture panel stays out of the frame and folds away while recording.

Audio routing is handled properly, which is where most simple recorders fall down. System audio and microphone record to separate tracks so a voice over can be balanced against application sound afterwards, input levels are visible before the recording starts, and noise reduction can be applied to the microphone track on the way in.

During capture there is a drawing layer for arrows, boxes and freehand marks, plus keystroke display and mouse click highlighting, which is what turns a raw screen recording into something a viewer can actually follow. A countdown, a maximum duration and a scheduled start time all sit in the same panel for unattended captures.

Afterwards the built in editor covers trimming, joining, cutting out dead sections and dropping in a title card, then exports to the common delivery formats and device presets with hardware encoding where the machine supports it. Single frames can be grabbed as stills for documentation without leaving the application.

System requirements

Install order

1. Unpack the archive.
2. Run the installer and allow the capture driver component when prompted.
3. Restart if the installer asks, so the capture driver loads.
4. Set the output folder and audio devices before the first real recording.
