About this release

This is the support component that Photoshop looks for before it will let the generative panels do anything. Without it the fill, expand, text to image and generative similar commands are visible but inert. With it installed they resolve locally against the bundled model set and write their results into the document as ordinary layers, which is the part that matters for anyone who has to hand the file to a retoucher afterwards.

The component covers the whole family rather than a single trick. Text prompts generate imagery, reference images steer style and composition, structure guides constrain a generation to an existing outline, and the vector side produces editable paths rather than flattened shapes. Each of those routes through the same panel, so learning one is enough to use all of them.

It installs alongside the host application instead of replacing anything in it. Photoshop keeps its own version number, its own preferences and its own plug in folder, and this component simply becomes available in the generative controls once the application restarts. Removing it later leaves the host untouched.

Output quality is the reason people bother. Generated regions match the grain, focus falloff and colour temperature of the surrounding plate far more closely than the earlier generation did, which cuts down the amount of manual blending needed afterwards. Large expansions past the original frame hold perspective instead of drifting, and skin, fabric and foliage no longer smear at the seam.

The vector route produces real paths that can be reshaped, recoloured and exported like any drawn artwork.

Matches the surrounding plate

Grain, focus and colour temperature are sampled from the surrounding pixels so generated regions blend with far less manual work.

Clean install and removal

Installs beside the host application without altering its preferences, plug ins or version, and uninstalls the same way.

Install order

1. Close Photoshop completely, including any background component in the notification area.
2. Unpack the archive to a path without accents or spaces.
3. Run the installer and let it detect the host application version.
4. Start Photoshop once and let the model cache build before the first generation.
