About this release
The neural filter panel in the image editor ships mostly empty. Each filter downloads its model the first time it is used, which is fine on a fast connection and useless on a machine that is offline, behind a restrictive network or simply being set up somewhere with no bandwidth to spare. This package is the whole model set placed on disk directly, so the panel comes up with everything already available.
What the set covers is a good spread of the jobs that used to take real time. Skin smoothing that respects texture. Portrait adjustment for expression, age, gaze direction and head angle. Colourisation for monochrome originals. Depth aware haze, blur and relighting. Super resolution for enlarging a frame past what the pixels should allow. Restoration for scratches, damage and compression artefacts. Style transfer, background replacement and harmonisation for matching a pasted element to the plate it landed on.
The filters behave like the rest of the editor once installed. Output can be written to a new layer, a smart object or the current pixels, which means a result can be masked, blended and partly reverted rather than accepted whole. That matters because these filters are excellent on some frames and unconvincing on others, and the useful workflow is almost always to take half of what they produce.
Everything runs locally. The models sit on disk and the processing happens on the machine's own graphics card, so nothing about the image leaves it and the panel works identically with the network unplugged. On a graphics card with enough memory the larger filters return in seconds rather than minutes.
What it does
- Complete offline model set
- Every filter model on disk, so nothing downloads on first use.
- Portrait tools
- Skin smoothing, expression, age, gaze and head angle adjustment on detected faces.
- Restoration and enlargement
- Scratch, damage and artefact repair plus super resolution for pushing a frame past its pixel count.
- Depth aware effects
- Haze, blur and relighting placed by scene depth rather than flat across the frame.
- Harmonisation and background replacement
- Match a pasted element to its plate or swap what is behind a subject.
- Non destructive output
- Results write to a new layer or smart object so they can be masked and blended back.
Changed in this version
- Full model set bundled so no filter downloads on first use.
- Improved skin smoothing on darker tones.
- Faster processing on graphics cards with more available memory.
- Colourisation produces more plausible skin and foliage tones.
- Fixed an edge artefact in depth aware blur around fine detail.

Worth knowing before you start
This is an addition to the image editor, it does not run on its own.
Processing happens on the local graphics card, so nothing about the image leaves the machine.
