Adobe Photoshop Elements 2026

Version 26.3.0.82Adobe3.24 GBFull desktop buildRefreshed 3 weeks ago

Photo editing and organising for people who want the result without learning the full application.

About this release

Elements is built for the enormous number of people who want good photographs out of their camera and phone without spending months learning a professional editor. It is two applications: an organiser that manages the whole library and an editor that fixes and improves individual images, and the two are designed to be used together.

The editor has three levels and that structure is the whole idea. Quick mode offers a small set of sliders and one click fixes that cover most of what a photograph needs. Guided mode walks through a specific result step by step, from replacing a dull sky to building a double exposure or a panorama, explaining each step as it happens. Expert mode opens layers, masks, selections, adjustment layers and blend modes for anyone who has outgrown the other two.

The organiser is the part people underestimate. It catalogues an entire photo library, recognises faces and groups them into named people, sorts by place and event, tags automatically by subject, finds duplicates and near duplicates, and answers plain search terms across the whole collection. On a library that has grown for a decade across several devices this is often more valuable than the editing.

The automatic tools do a lot of work. Subject selection, background replacement, object removal, skin smoothing, colour and haze correction, open closed eyes, straighten horizons and correct perspective, all in one action with the result adjustable afterwards. Output covers prints, photo books, slideshows, collages and sizing presets for the common sharing destinations.
